John Petrik has been the Editor of the CyberWire since the news service began publishing in 2012. Before that he had experience in the defense science and technology sector (working for QinetiQ North America, ITS, and Noesis), academia (teaching at both the United States Military Academy and Rockhurst University), and the United States Army (where he served as a field artillery officer).The author of a logic textbook and multiple articles on cybersecurity, military operations, and defense policy. He holds a bachelor’s degree from Middlebury College and a master’s from the University of Chicago, both in philosophy.
