Six Cyber Leaders Honored at 14th Billington CyberSecurity Summit for Helping Protect Nation and Allies from Cyber Offensives 

WASHINGTON, DC (September 8, 2023)—Six leaders whose vision and leadership are helping defend the nation and its allies from cyber threats were recognized during the 14th Annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit held September 5–8, 2023 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, D.C. The event convened more than 2,300 government and industry cyber executives to explore the theme: Advancing Cybersecurity's Impact in an Age of Heightened Risk.

“Cyber is a rapidly changing space with far reaching implications for keeping our nation and its allies secure. The vision and moxie displayed by these cyber leaders are helping make the world safer and protecting democracy,” explained Thomas K. Billington, CEO, Billington CyberSecurity, a leading cyber education company for executives founded in 2010. “These awards represent a small token of our appreciation for their extraordinary efforts.” 

The six awards and honorees included:

The four-day event drew more than 2,300 attendees and over 200 speakers and was designed to address the nation’s pressing cyber needs. The summit included panel discussions, breakout sessions, fireside chats, and awards and five tracks: Zero Trust & Data, Critical Infrastructure, Zero Trust & Identity, Cyber Workforce, and Emerging Tech. Speakers spanned government, military, nonprofits, industry, and academia.
