Commander, Coast Guard Cyber Command
Rear Admiral Mike Ryan assumed the duties of Commander, Coast Guard Cyber Command located in Washington D.C. in July 2019. He is responsible for conducting operations and delivering effects in and through the cyberspace operational domain.
In his prior flag assignment, he served as the Assistant Commandant for Capability (CG-7), overseeing the training, equipping, maintenance and utilization of Coast Guard forces to meet mission requirements.
Rear Admiral Ryan has held commands at Operations Systems Center Kearnysville, Electronic Systems Support Unit St. Louis, and USCGC KATMAI BAY.
Rear Admiral Ryan is a 1988 graduate from the U.S. Coast Guard Academy and holds a Master of Science Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.
